Great wines often disappear fast. Many of our finest Hungarian bottles come from small parcels and are produced in tiny quantities – sometimes just a few hundred cases per vintage. For instance, Solus, Gere’s 100% Merlot, is made only in exceptional years and released in quantities of around 500 cases, making it a near‑mythical bottle. Similarly, benchmark reds like Kopar sell out en primeur, leaving little for latecomers.

This collection is an archive of wines that are currently sold out. It highlights their stories so you can understand why they vanish quickly and to encourage you to sign up for restock alerts. We feature everything from single‑vineyard Furmint and sweet 6‑Puttonyos Aszú to award‑winning Egri Bikavér.
