What began as an experiment became one of Eger’s most exciting discoveries. In theory, Chardonnay and Furmint should never work together but when these two varieties meet in a blend, the results are remarkable.
As a dry wine, Furmint is defined by its piercing acidity and austere edge. Chardonnay softens that austerity, lending roundness and texture, while Furmint keeps the wine taut, fresh and energetic. Together, they create a style neither grape could achieve alone, a genuine marriage of opposites that feels almost destined.
A holy matrimony in the glass.
