Brut Magnum (1.5L)

About →

Straw yellow gold, with continuous, slow effervescence. Its rich aromas are an exciting duality of wildflower freshness and roasted notes, mainly pistachio and hazelnut. The fruits explode in the mouth, with quince, ripe juicy pear and anise dominating. The magnum effect is not a myth, but a tangible and enjoyable reality: due to the size of the bottle, half as much oxygen is available for the same amount of sparkling wine, which slows down the fermentation in the bottle, thus developing new, complex aromas.

Whole bunch-pressed of hand-picked grapes. After must-settling, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged on its lees with low levels of sulfites until the final blend is done. No malolactic fermentation nor oak ageing is used for any of the sparkling wines so as to produce a fresh, crisp, elegant, and complex sparkling wine.

Blending happens in early spring, always with a Furmint based blend, supported by Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with around 20% of reserve wines used in the blend. The exact blend changes from year to year to adapt to the needs of each vintage.

Sauska

At the heart of Tokaj, Sauska brings a modern touch to Hungary’s most historic wine region. The winery combines innovation with tradition, crafting elegant dry Furmint and Hárslevelű alongside its acclaimed sweet Tokaji Aszú.

Drawing from organically farmed vineyards on volcanic tuff and loess soils, Sauska’s Tokaj wines are defined by purity, balance, and crystalline minerality - a contemporary expression of the world’s first classified wine region.

All grapes are sourced from estate-owned and farmed vineyards specifically planted to produce sparkling wines. They are pioneers in planting Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes in the Tokaj wine region, specifically to produce bubbly wines.
