The "Solus" has acquired recognition from experts, sommeliers and the wine lovers alike since it stood up to prestigious wines like the Masseto and Pétrus, confirming its status as one of the world's premier wines.

The 'Bor'

It was again a serious Merlot blind-test, in which many international big-shots including two legendary wines – Masseto 2001 (100-point wine in Wine Spectator) and Chateau Petrus 1998 – also participated.

The tasting was done blind, with numbered samples (1-20). The wines showed in a wonderful way that from the Merlot variety, really special wines are born in different parts of the world.

The final results proved again that Hungarian wines – among them the Solus – are in coordinative relation with the greatest prestige wines of the world.
